Prayer Requests — Christmas 2025 Update

Calvary Chapel Freiburg

Dear friends and prayer partners,

As Christmas approaches, thank you for your faithful prayers and encouragement. We are deeply grateful for your partnership in what God is doing here in Freiburg.

Recent Adjustments and Challenges

Since our last update, we've had to make some significant adjustments:

  • Two students withdrew from plans to attend Calvary Bible Institute for personal reasons
  • After prayer and counsel, we decided to defer the full launch of Calvary Bible Institute Germany
  • A reduction of my secular work was not approved, which affects our current capacity
  • We walked through a very heavy week, including security issues at church facilities and a serious personal crisis involving a dear friend

These events remind us of our daily dependence on the Lord (John 15) and the reality of spiritual battle.

CBI Germany — Still Part of God's Plan

Even so, we remain convinced that CBI Germany is part of God's plan. A few local students sense God's calling, and I am seeking wisdom to provide teaching and discipleship in a reduced, locally focused format, trusting God for the right timing and structure.

Reasons for Thanksgiving and Prayer

University Outreach

Another opportunity to share God's Word at the university in a packed auditorium, followed by nearly three hours of conversations with students. We are grateful for their openness and hunger for truth.

Ministry Across Traditions

The joy of leading teenagers to Christ in a Catholic church two weeks ago. What a privilege to see the gospel bearing fruit across church traditions.

Political Connections

New connections following the firefighters' event, including contact with a local politician ahead of state elections.

Please pray for wisdom, discernment, and integrity as these connections develop.

Our Prayer and Hope

Despite challenges, we are thankful for God's faithfulness, peace, and His tangible presence in church and family life.

Please continue to pray for wisdom, strength, and trust as we wait on the Lord.

With gratitude and love,

Alex Röhm
